There’s a reason why the Democratic anti-Israel members of Congress are nicknamed the Hamas Caucus, and it is perhaps best demonstrated by way of a November video that has resurfaced showing Rep. Jamaal Bowman (D-NY) acting in the role of a Hamas rape denier.
Bowman, who is also known for being a comrade in the Democratic Socialist “Squad” led by Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY), was speaking at a “Ceasefire NOW” rally in White Plains, NY, where he not only accused Israel of lying about the rapes Hamas committed against Israeli women but also suggested that the baby beheadings committed by Hamas terrorists didn’t happen.
He also used the word “siege” to describe the beginning of the Israel-Hamas war, and rest assured that it was unlikely the conspiracy theorist Congressman was referring to Hamas’ reign of terror at the NOVA festival or any of the other areas they attacked on October 7th:
“There was propaganda used in the beginning of the siege,” Bowman told a Nov. 17 rally of about 50 pro-Palestinian protesters in Westchester. “There’s still no evidence of beheaded babies or raped women. But they still keep using that lie [for] propaganda.”

Incredibly, when Bowman was confronted by the media late last week about the video, he initially refused to answer questions, saying his mind was on other things and that he’d have his staff get back to them:
Asked about those remarks on Thursday outside the House floor, Bowman declined to talk about them on the record.
“I’m focused on my votes and other things. I’m not talking,” he said. When asked if he still doubted those claims, he added: “I’m not talking about that now. My team will get back to you.”
But later, he issued a formal statement in which he claimed without evidence that his words had been “twisted”:
In a statement after his brief interview with POLITICO, Bowman contradicted his previous remarks. He and his team did not deny that he made them. The “propaganda” comment was one of several comments he’s had to walk back on in recent months, including raising conspiracy theories about the 9/11 terrorist attacks.
“As I said at this rally, what Hamas did on October 7th is a war crime and they must release all the hostages,” he said. “The UN confirmed that Hamas committed rape and sexual violence, a reprehensible fact that I condemn entirely. I also voted yes on Resolution 966, which officially condemns the rape and sexual violence committed by Hamas. So let me be clear, and ensure my words are not twisted: I always stand against sexual violence in all forms and stand for peace for all.”
As Legal Insurrection previously reported, it is indisputable that some of the tactics Hamas used involved rape, torture, and burning the women and girls they brutalized alive. We know this in part because Hamas documented their savagery and also because some of the captured terrorists later admitted that their intent in capturing women and children was to “dirty them, to rape them.”
The New York Times also conducted an independent investigation and identified “at least seven locations where Israeli women and girls appear to have been sexually assaulted or mutilated.” A February report submitted to the United Nations by the Association of Rape Crisis Centers in Israel on the barbaric atrocities committed against women and girls by Hamas sadists also provided undeniable evidence.
On Tuesday, when news broke of the Bowman video, the Times also reported that one of the rape victims, Amit Soussana, had stepped forth to share her horrific story, marking the first time a former Hamas hostage went public with her story of sexual assault:

And two weeks after the war began, multiple Hamas terrorists admitted to beheading or otherwise dismembering some of their Israeli victims, including children.
Like several other Squad members, including Reps. Summer Lee (D-PA), Cori Bush (D-MO), and Ilhan Omar (D-MN), Bowman is facing a formidable primary challenger in Westchester County Executive George Latimer, who visited Israel ahead of his December campaign announcement and who Bowman has tried to portray as a Trump Democrat in disguise.
Bowman has also taken heat for mocking Latimer’s grassroots campaigning while Bowman himself was caught rubbing elbows with Big Tech millionaires in San Francisco:
Rep. Jamaal Bowman (D-NY) mocked his Democratic primary opponent for stumping alone in his congressional district – while he appeared to be in San Francisco raising money from tech millionaires.
In a since-deleted social media post, Bowman took a jab at rival George Latimer after the candidate posted a picture of himself campaigning outside Lenny’s bagel shop in Rye Brook.
“Saturday morning bagel store campaigning has begun. Today: Lenny’s Bagels, Rye Brook at 8:15am. Many many more ahead. #RealResultsNotRhetoric #NY16,” Latimer posted on X.
[…]
But Bowman ended up getting roasted for the post after one of his San Francisco Bay millionaire buddies, Hims & Hers telehealth co-founder Andrew Dudum, posted a selfie photo of him with the congressman at his Frisco home.
New York’s Congressional primaries will be held on June 25th. This one will be interesting to watch.
