The “Long Live the Intifada” and “From the River to the Sea” and “Free, Free Palestine” protesters run amok are our common enemy. This is not about “the Jews” – it’s about a deep hatred of Western civiliations (Christians and Jews), capitalism, and romanticism of the most vile misogyny provided it wraps itself in an Islamic flag.

We’ve seen them block major roadways, taunt child patients at a cancer hospital, harass Jewish students, vandalize Jewish businesses, use bullhorns inside libraries and study areas to intimidate students (Cornell), attack police, and many other anti-social activities.

Just the latest iteration was the disruption last night of Easter Services at New York’s St. Patrick’s Cathedral, the most visible and significant Catholic church in the United States. It started as a climate protest but quickly devolved into shouts of “Free, Free Palestine” by one of the protesters.

The groups are inextricably intertwined, something I’ve noted many times regarding anti-Israel faculty and students in higher education – the anti-Israel activists are the anti-American activists, are the anti-Western activists. They are united in their desire to tear down our society.

These are not just political opponents, they are the enemies of our civilization and it’s about time people woke up to that and started taking their threats seriously.
