I’m biting my tongue out of respect for Professor Jacobson so I don’t unleash my true feelings toward Sen. Chuck Schumer.
But if you follow me on Twitter, you know exactly what I want to say.
Chuckie has so much time on his hands that he felt the need to demand new elections in Israel.
Chuckie is a jerk. I cannot believe he paraphrased a phrase used by antisemites to describe supposed “extremist” Israelis (emphasis mine):
“The Netanyahu coalition no longer fits the needs of Israel after October 7. The world has changed – radically – since then, and the Israeli people are being stifled right now by a governing vision that is stuck in the past,” says Schumer.
Netanyahu has “lost his way, putting himself in coalition with far-right extremists like [Finance Minister] Bezalel Smotrich and [National Security Minister] Itamar Ben-Gvir.”
“Extremist Palestinians and extremist Israelis seek the same goal: from the Jordan River to the Mediterranean Sea, they aim to push the other from the land,” Schumer adds.
“If Prime Minister Netanyahu’s current coalition remains in power after the war begins to wind down, and continues to pursue dangerous and inflammatory policies that test existing US standards for assistance, then the United States will have no choice but to play a more active role in shaping Israeli policy by using our leverage to change the present course,” Schumer says in a speech on the Senate floor.
Can you believe his nerve? Last time I checked, I found that anyone can and does live in Israel. Doesn’t sound like Israelis want “to push the other from the land.”
All of the fabricated claims against ???????? and the one sentence answers.
Israel occupied an Arab Palestinian state.
“Sure it did. When was that Arab Palestinian state established and what was the national anthem?”
Israel is committing genocide in Gaza.
“Sure it is. How many… pic.twitter.com/WfqGPeE85U

My God, Chuckie boy. The Palestinians DO NOT WANT a separate state.
Also…isn’t this a form of election interference? I’d call it pre-election interference:
“As a democracy, Israel has the right to choose its own leaders, and we should let the chips fall where they may. But the important thing is that Israelis are given a choice. There needs to be a fresh debate about the future of Israel after October 7,” Schumer says.
“In my opinion, that is best accomplished by holding an election,” he says.
“Nobody expects Prime Minister Netanyahu to do the things that must be done to break the cycle of violence, to preserve his credibility on the world stage, to work to a two-state solution,” he continued. “Israel cannot survive if it becomes a pariah.”
The former prime minister reaffirmed that Israel will do what she wants when she wants.
Fmr Prime Minister Naftali Bennett:
Regardless of our political opinion, we strongly oppose external political intervention in Israel’s internal affairs.
We are an independent nation, not a banana republic.
With the threat of terrorism on its way to the West, it would be best…

Schumer can no longer complain about the 2016 election. Schumer can also no longer claim or say that Republicans want to nation build.
If the people of Israeli want a new election then fine. How about we not interfere with other countries? You can also bet that anyone who takes Bibi’s place would have similar tactics and policies concerning the war with Hamas.
Chuckie doesn’t care about Israel, much like the Biden administration. They just want to win back people like Rep. Rashida Tlaib.
I’m fine with just about anybody saying what Schumer said about Bibi.
But nobody in the US govt has any right to weigh in on Israel’s domestic affairs in an official capacity.
Our officials are now openly meddling in the affairs of a democracy abroad.
Schumer knows better.

Make no mistake, Schumer is appeasing the pro-Hamas wing of his party with this nonsense. (Just imagine the blowback if an Israeli leader said something like this about Biden.) There will be no political price to pay. And it’s only going to get worse. https://t.co/ZaOblXUAUm

This is why @SenSchumer is bashing Netanyahu, it’s part of Democrat 2024 strategy to win back the pro-Hamas vote https://t.co/kQUW29MFb4
